Delete your account
You can have your Frog In The Pocket account and the data attached to it deleted. Here is how to ask, and exactly what happens when you do.
How to request deletion
Email frog@larryoatmeal.com from the address on your account, or include your in-game username so the right records can be found. This link opens a message with those prompts already in it:
Requests are handled by hand, within 30 days of receipt. You will get a reply confirming when it is done.
If you played without ever signing in, the account is tied to your device rather than to an email address, and there is no way to identify it from an email alone. Deleting the game removes the local copy; to have the server-side record removed as well, say so in your message and we will explain what to send.
What is deleted
All of this is removed permanently:
- Your profile — username, display name, email address, profile picture and equipped cosmetics.
- The link between your account and Google or Apple sign-in, so signing in again creates a brand-new account rather than recovering this one.
- Your reserved username, which becomes available to other players.
- Your run history — every run the game uploaded, including the recorded input for each one.
- Your cloud save, which is the story and level progress synced between devices.
- The menu-interaction telemetry recorded against your account.
What is kept, and why
Two things survive, and neither identifies you once the account is gone:
- Leaderboard score rows. The scores themselves stay in the table, but they stop appearing on any leaderboard the moment your profile is deleted, because a score is only displayed once it can be matched to a profile with a username. Nothing on screen will carry your name. If you would rather the score rows were removed as well, ask in your message and they will be.
- Telemetry recorded before you signed in. The game can report menu interactions before it knows who you are. Those records carry no account reference at all, so they cannot be found and removed by searching for you — and cannot be traced back to you either. They are deleted automatically within 90 days.
Backups and server logs may hold copies for a short period after deletion before ageing out on their own schedule.
